In my six years of close acquaintance with the Cote d'Azur, I have never been so surprised by what I saw here. And today, it's not about food, and not about coffee. I am in a hurry to share with you my latest discovery - Pagode Hông-Hiên de Fréjus - a small island of Vietnam in Fréjus. Too unique place, so I boldly say that it is a must-visit!
The Pagoda was built by the Vietnamese in 1917, who came to defend France during the First World War. So the Hông-Hiên Pagoda is the oldest of its kind in Europe. It has a modern look thanks to the reconstruction in 1972. On its territory you will find several buildings of closed and open types, which are surrounded by statues of people and animals. This is an area of absolute peace. The vibrations of the Great Bell, which was built in Hue, the Vietnamese town, especially strengthened the spirit of pacification. It has a special meaning - to remind us of the instability of this world.
In one of the buildings sits a giant Buddha - Prince Siddartha, which was made in Thailand. After 49 days of deep meditation, he attained enlightenment. Unfortunately, in our modern rhythm of life, there is a great luxury, both long meditation and enlightenment itself. Another Buddha can be found reclining in complete nirvana. I definitely like Buddhism)))
The Blue building is just for practicing yoga. What
a perfect place!
I
would like to express my gratitude to the people who greet visitors at the
Pagoda. They are so friendly and they supported my French-English communication language as much as they could)) Also, the woman told me the meaning of
the colors of the Buddhist flag, and I am happy to share with you:
Blue
– Meditation
Yellow
– Right thought
Red
– Spiritual energy
White
– Serene faith
Orange
– Intelligence, which is made up of the previous four colors. Therefore,
intelligence is considered a synthesis of the qualities that these colors
symbolize.
